Things Not Seen CoverTeen Read Book Club - Book Discussion Program
For Teens in grades 6-12. Discuss fun books and meet new friends
while enjoying great snacks

"Things Not Seen", by Andrew Clements
Wednesday, January 21st at 7pm.
Books are available at the circulation desk.

Bobby Phillips is an average fifteen-year-old boy. Until the morning he wakes up and can't see himself in the mirror. Not blind, not dreaming-Bobby is just plain invisible. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to Bobby's new condition; even his dad the physicist can't figure it out. For Bobby that means no school, no friends, no life. He's a missing person. Then he meets Alicia. She's blind, andBobby can't resist talking to her, trusting her. But people are starting to wonder where Bobby is. Bobby knows that his invisibility could have dangerous consequences for his family and that time is running out. He has to find out how to be seen again-before it's too late.

The David Linden House
In memory of David Linden, his family has donated the funds to build a learning experience for the children of Upper Saddle River. This wonderful new playhouse will give our young children many years of enjoyment. A place to read or be read to, a place to play, a place to pretend. No Adults please, unless of course you can get in the door. Thank you to the Linden family for this wonderful addition to the Library’s children’s area. Enjoying the playhouse are, left to right, Michael Florio, Matthew Florio, Victor, and Mary Florio.

YA Solarium

The Young Adult (teen) Solarium Ribbon Cutting

The addition also includes a small room for quiet study, group projects, teen book discussion groups, ESL Tutoring, and small meetings that have been scheduled in advance. Thank-you, Friends of the USR Library for your wonderful hard work, contributions to the Library and to the community.
